See the difference? On the surface, this chart looks like it has no Water. But Dragon (辰) actually contains Gui Water hidden inside. There IS Water energy — it's just beneath the surface.

Real-Life Examples

The Quiet Snake: A Snake (巳) branch hides Geng Metal. On the surface, the person seems calm and collected (Snake). But the hidden Metal gives them a sharp edge. When pushed, they can cut deep. I've seen this pattern in quiet people who suddenly speak devastating truths in meetings. The Gentle Dragon: A Dragon (辰) hides Yi Wood and Gui Water. On the surface, Dragons are big and confident.
